WOW!!!  I'm still on a "high" from last night's performance which
definitely has to be the best of the seven concerts that I have
attended.  The year-long hiatus was just the thing the guys needed.
They are well-rested and ready to go!

There is little that I can add to Greg's superb review of Friday
night's show. Raul did an acoustic version of "Volver, Volver" last
night at the request on a fan on Friday night.  This was the first
time that I have ever heard him perform this and it was very touching.

Carol and I were fortunate enough to have table seats stageside.....so
close that we could have (not sure what stopped us!..LOL) reached out
and touched Robert who was looking right at me a lot of the time.
What a thrill!!   He mentioned at the start that we would be hearing
mostly songs from the new album.......which he compared to the feeling
that you get from a first kiss and said that the older songs were more
like being married for 20 years.  This brought a few remarks from the
audience indicating that they would like to hear lots of both.

Raul introduced the band members onstage beginning with what he
referred to as the Havana Horn Section....who aren't really from
Havana and Jaime Hanna who did a super job harmonizing with Raul and
playing guitar.  He is a definite asset to the group......not to
mention that he is very easy to look at.  He introduced Jerry Dale
with his new lavender hair and said he he wouldn't comment on it and
neither should we.

The show......which had two encores....was over too soon.   We were
ushered through the Meet & Greet very quickly by Steve who was
snapping pictures and telling us to move on.  It was wonderful to have
Raul there as he wasn't at the last two I attended.  Nick was the only
one missing.

After the show my daughter, Heather, and I went and played the slots
for a while & walked back by the front of the theatre on our way out.
Who should be standing there talking with Greg, Paul and Lynne was
none other than Robert and his grandmother, Mildred.....a lively and
witty 86 year old!  She is joining Robert on the trip to England today
and they will also be visiting Ireland.  I told Robert that I had
forgotten to tell him earlier that I really liked his new short hair
style and he asked if I wanted to touch it!  He didn't have to ask me
twice.  I might not wash that hand for quite some time....LOL!

The real highlight of the evening was meeting some of my "online
friends"....Carol,
who I have met on several occasions before, Paul and Lynne, MaryLou
(Snowbaby from the old MML), and especially, Greg.  What fun it was to
put faces with names.

I guess that's all I can tell you now.........I might think of more
later on.

Hope that all of you up North are getting your power back and getting
your lives back to normal.  You are in my thoughts.
